Do I have to have a permit before taking the classroom portion of the class?
No, but it is highly recommended.

When can I start the Behind the Wheel with an instructor?
You must have your permit, logged 20 hours of driving and completed the 3rd class of in class instruction.

What is the log book and who needs to ride with me?
The log book is provided by the MVA when you obtain your permit. You are to record driving hours you have completed on your own with an approved driver (coach). In order to serve as a driving coach the individual must be at least 21 years old and have had their driver's license for at least 3 consecutive years.

When should I make an appointment to obtain my provisional license?
Allow at least 48 hours following your last Behind the Wheel instruction with your driver's education instructor before scheduling your appointment for your provisional license.

What do I need to take to the MDOT/MVAÂ for my learner's permit?
Student's birth certificate (certified copy)
Proof of address (2 documents)
If student is under 16, a letter from their high school guidance counselor stating student's attendance (Form DL-300) in a sealed, unopened envelope.
If student is under 16 and home schooled, a letter is needed from home school coordinator stating attendance.
Student's Social Security Card
If under 18 years old, parent or guardian and proof of parental relationship such as health card or tax return.

What do I need to take to the MDOT/MVA for my Provisional Test?

An adult, preferably a parent (21 years and older)

The car must have no icons showing on the dashboard and 1/2 tank or more of gas

Do you offer sibling discounts?
How much does it cost for Behind the Wheel Instruction only?
Yes, if a sibling from a family who has previously completed driver's education through Campbell's Driving School any subsequent children from that family will receive $50 off. In addition, if multiple children from a family are registering for class at the same time, you will receive $50 off.
For those students who have completed their classroom instruction with another driving school but need to complete the behind the wheel portion of the class, the cost is $340.
